Consider these two real-life examples:
In October 2016, KLM – a Dutch airline company – decided to assign one fewer flight attendant in economy class on 40 per cent of its long-haul flights. According to KLM’s management, the change would produce a productivity gain of 4 per cent while having minimum impact on customers.
