Understanding the behavior

Upon performing a reset, you'll see the blue LED turn on. To start the FreeRTOS scheduler and the timers, push the blue USER button, B1, in the lower left of the board. The blue LED will turn off after 2.2 seconds. This only happens once since the blue LED has been set up as a oneshot timer.  The green LED toggles every 500 ms since it was set up with a repeat timer.

Let's take a look at the output of the SystemView terminal. In the terminal, all the times are relative to the start of the RTOS scheduler. The blue LED oneshot is only executed once, 2.2 seconds in, while the green LED is toggled every 500 ms:
