Application settings
In the Application settings for Azure Function app, you can configure these settings:
- Always On
- HTTP Version
- Affinity Cookie
- App Settings
- Connection Strings:
If you recall, we discussed cold start issues with FaaS in serverless computing. The Always On setting in the Functions App Settings helps to overcome this issue for Azure Functions. With that turned on, Azure will make sure to have the Function App always loaded, even when it is goes idle after a period of time. This should typically be turned on only when you know that the Azure Function App is going to get steady traffic.
