Let's look at the Serverless Platform that Google Cloud Platform offers.
Google Cloud introduced Google App Engine back in 2008, which was its PaaS offering, used to deploy your applications to GCP without having to worry about the underlying infrastructure. You still had to choose the web server framework to deploy your application. This is similar to AWS Elastic Beanstalk.
