Initializing the gcloud CLI

After installation of the gcloud CLI, you need to initialize it so that it will interact with your Google Cloud Project resources.

Running the gcloud init command will perform many setup tasks for gcloud Cloud SDK.

Let's look at configuring the gcloud CLI:

1. In your Terminal or Command Prompt, run the following command: gcloud init.
2. It will prompt you to log into your Google user account. Enter Y to the prompt and enter your Google Cloud account; see the following screenhot:

3. It will open a browser window. Log in to your user account.
