I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Launching VS Code from the Command Line
Let's take a look at the following steps:
- You can also run Visual Studio Code from the Terminal by typing code after adding it to the PATH environmental variable:
- Launch Visual Studio Code
- Open the Command palette by pressing Shift+ cmd + P
- Type shell command to find the Shell Command: Install 'code' command in PATH command
- Press Enter and Visual Studio Code will be added to the PATH
- Restart the terminal for the new $PATH value to take effect
- You'll be able to type code in any folder to start editing files in that folder
