AWS Config Service provides you with the ability to audit, assess, and evaluate configurations for your AWS resources. AWS Config Service monitors and stores data about your AWS resource configurations and provides you with the ability to automate any deviations from the desired configurations. With AWS Lambda functions, you can evaluate deviations from configurations for your AWS resources using AWS Config Service custom rules. As AWS Config Service sees AWS resources getting created, modified, and deleted, AWS Config custom rules will trigger the AWS Lambda function and send over the information to it.
