Deployment slots
The next setting that you can configure in the Functions app is Deployment Slots. At the time of writing (June 2018), it is still in Preview mode. Deployment Slots provide the ability for developers to slot or stage a version of a Function App to be the production version. That particular version of the Function app can be made the production version with a simple managed swap action within the Azure Function App platform.
