So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Azure Functions Core Tools
Azure Functions Core tools provides you the ability to develop, deploy, debug, and manage Azure Functions directly from your workstation. After you have installed Azure Functions Core tools, you can connect to live Azure services from your local functions, and you can debug your functions on your workstation as you will have the full Functions runtime available on your workstation. With Azure Functions Core Tools, you can deploy your local function app to your Azure environment.
Azure Functions Runtime 2.x is the only one that is supported on all platforms, as it is built on .NET Core. Let's look at the installation instructions for macOS and Windows.
