I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Searching by Date
Even if you never give a photo a title, description, or keywords, you can always search by date, since your camera records the date and time when you take a photo.
And remember, you can use iPhoto to adjust the dates of your photos to make date searches as accurate as possible (page 23).
The Big Picture
When you display the Calendar panel, it shows the current year.
Narrow Your View
Tip: If you point to a month or date without clicking, iPhoto tells you how many photos you took during that month or on that date, as shown here. ...
