Like geotagging and maps? Flickr was hip to them long before iPhoto. Flickr taps into the Yahoo maps that its parent company does so well. And as with iPhoto, you can place photos on a map yourself or have Flickr use the geotagging information in photos that have it.
Since you’re already taking the time to geotag some photos in iPhoto (right?), you can have iPhoto pass that information on to Flickr, which will, in turn, place your photos on your Flickr map.
But this process doesn’t happen automatically. To protect your privacy, both iPhoto and Flickr have some location-related features turned off. To have geotagged photos appear on the map in Flickr, follow these steps.
