For a serious amateur photographer, there’s no better place than Flickr for inspiration and encouragement. Publish your photos, and they become part of your photostream—Flickr lingo for your library. Give your photos tags—similar to iPhoto keywords—that help you and other Flickr members search. Organize photos into sets, which are like albums in iPhoto.
To help people find your shots, submit them to groups that deal with subjects relevant to the photos. There are groups for photos of dogs, cats, bridges, food, and, really, anything you can imagine.
Add other Flickr members as contacts so you can easily keep an eye on their photos. Comment on each other’s images, and add photos you like to your favorites so you can go ...
