So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Creating Greeting Cards and Postcards
Let us hereby resolve to never buy a greeting card from a store rack again. OK, maybe that’s a bit strong. But with the greeting card and postcard features in iPhoto, you can definitely curtail your contributions to Hallmark’s balance sheet.
An iPhoto greeting card measures 5 by 7 inches and is of the “tent” variety—folded on its top or at the left, per your option. Landscape photos work best for top-folds, and portrait photos are best for left-folds. Letterpress cards cost $2.99 each and regular folded cards $1.49 each. The letterpress cards have beautiful embossed borders and other elements. (Alas, custom text you add is not embossed.)
