Global Versus Local Editing

When you edit a photo, you change the photo everywhere you’ve used it—in slide shows, books, and calendars, for example. When you’re printing a photo, there’s another way to fine-tune an image. iPhoto’s print view provides an Adjust pane whose controls are similar to the ones covered on the following pages. This means you can fine-tune the way a photo prints without changing its appearance elsewhere—very handy. I’ll remind you of this local editing opportunity when we discuss printing.
