As you build this app, you can more easily keep track of its development by seeing how it looks in real time.
The recommended method for doing this, as discussed in Chapter 2, “Building with MIT App Inventor,” is to install the MIT AI2 Companion app on an Android device (see Figure 3.15). You can find it in the Google Play Store by performing a search for “MIT AI2 Companion.” Be sure to download this specific version—the MIT App Inventor Version 1 app will not work with the apps you build in this text.
