9. Using Media
A large percentage of smartphone apps use some type of media. Whether it’s audio, video, or images, App Inventor has a way to bring these different media types into your apps.
This chapter explores how to use App Inventor in making media-rich apps, whether through sprinkling in some video or creating an app that focuses primarily on various forms of multimedia.
An entire section of the Designer is devoted to the different media types you can add to an app. We have explored some of them already (primarily the images), but we now look at some different types to include (see Figure 9.1).
