Introduction

The L&D profession has made steady progress over the last 60 years defining processes and introducing new concepts, systems, and tools. Many practitioners, though, still don’t know where to start or how best to proceed with measurement, particularly with data analytics and reporting. For example, many are asked to create a measurement strategy or show the value of their investment in learning, but don’t know how. And most L&D professionals have limited resources, which makes the task all the more challenging, especially considering the more than 180 measures we have identified that are available just for L&D.
