Applications

A lighting technician or “electrician” manages all the power requirements and lighting on the set. To be effective, an electrician must carry a number of tools and items with him/her at all time. Most commonly, these tools are secured on a belt (see figure 20-1), so they are conveniently available to the electrician, but don’t get in the way. Simply knowing the use of all the items on a professional electrician’s belt will help you evaluate what you do and don’t need for your own equipment.
