So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Researching Support for New Devices and Versions of Code
As mentioned in the previous section, the supportlists and traps directories contain a listing by device of supported MIB files and traps. However, these listings are guidelines only. There is tremendous variation between different versions of a particular device, between release levels of IOS, and even within a single release level between point releases and between image versions and feature sets. The supportlists provide a good starting point for determining whether a particular device supports a given MIB file. However, it is good to confirm further the support on your particular software release, version, and feature set.
