During the warranty period, noted actions, errors, and deciencies

should be reported to the guarantee inspector who, at the guarantee

inspection, must determine whether there is a warranty issue or not. Before

the guarantee period is closed, an inspection meeting should be held (see

Section 6.2.2). e information from this meeting will be brought up at

the guarantee inspection.

e guarantee inspection must be held before the guarantees expire.

Note that there may be multiple guarantee periods for the same build-

ing. e guarantee period may also vary for dierent products and work.

Special guarantees apply to “latent defects.” e inspector can sometimes

extend the guarantee period for specic items or work.
