I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Google Transfer Appliance
If we look at the preceding chart, we can see that there are some pretty large transfer times. If we have petabytes of storage to transfer, then we should use Transfer Appliance. This is a hardware storage device that allows secure offline data migration. It can be set up in our data center and is rack mountable. We simply fill it with data and then ship it to an ingest location where Google will upload it to Cloud Storage.
Google offers 100 TB or 480 TB of raw capacity per appliance. The following is a quote from https://cloud.google.com/transfer-appliance/:
"Once the transfer is complete, Google will erase the appliance, meeting NIST-800-88 standards."
