When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Quotas and limits
Google Container Engine comes with the following limits:
- A maximum of 50 clusters per zone, plus 50 regional clusters per region
- A maximum of 5,000 nodes per cluster
- A maximum of 1,000 nodes per cluster if you use the GKE ingress controller
- 100 Pods per node
- 300,000 containers
- The GKE API limit is 10 requests per second
Note that GKE uses Compute Engine to host nodes, and so Compute Engine quotas also apply.
Additionally, there are resource quotas for the cluster itself. To view the quotas, use the kubectl get resourcequota gke-resource-quotas -o yaml command. Note that the quotas cannot be removed as they are there to protect the stability of the cluster.
