I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Predictions
Before we learn how to request predictions, let's have a look at the options that are available to us.
Cloud ML provides two types of predictions – online (HTTP) and batch. In both cases, a trained model is used. The input data is delivered to the model and a response is received. However, there are certain differences:
- Online: This minimizes the response time while processing one or more instances per request. The requests are synchronous, and data is passed as a JSON file. The prediction is received in the response message.
- Batch: This handles large volumes of instances in a job and runs more complex models. The requests are asynchronous and the data is passed from Cloud Storage input files. The prediction is written to Cloud ...
