A manager is in a position of authority; using new-found
skills to acquire more power over others usually backfires.
One reason Theory Y has not achieved its potential, in
my opinion, is that there have been too many instances in
which “feelings” have been over-emphasized in attempts to
build more-effective teams. That scares some leaders away
from participating in or funding training that has too many
“feeling” components.
Now, Go Do It!
Now go out and create your own unique winning manage-
ment style. Use it to advance your career, make more money
for your company, create job security for your team, ...
