I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Sharing Toad Options Settings
One of the more common general Toad user questions (after basic configuration and connectivity) is “How can I get the exact same Toad options or settings as my buddy whose Toad works differently (that is, better) than mine?” Another example might be a project manager who wants all his team’s Toad users to work the same way. With so many options to set, it simply would be nice to be able to copy them from PC to PC.
Beginning with Toad 12.5, users simply choose Main Menu → Utilities → Copy User Settings. That launches the Copy User Settings screen, which offers a choice for importing and exporting all the options setting files into a single zip file—which you can save as a backup or share with your buddies.
