So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
External Tools
There are times while you’re in Toad when you need to jump into another program, such as Quest Software’s Script Runner or Oracle’s SQL Plus. However, you don’t want to go out to the Windows Start menu because you would have to repeat information, such as your database connection, user ID, and password. So Toad has an intelligent and customizable program launcher that makes opening other programs clean and simple.
To launch the External Tools Options configuration screen, choose Main Menu → Utilities → External Tools. The screen shown in Figure 7.4 appears. The window is initially empty because Toad by default does not come with any external tools knowledge predefined.
