So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Code Shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts are one of the features that make Toad so powerful and easy to use. Toad comes with a host of predefined shortcuts. These shortcuts save keystrokes and mouse actions and perform a variety of tasks such as issuing a “describe” on the current highlighted object, or find (find next, find previous, and so on). You can see whether there is a keyboard shortcut by reviewing menu bar items. The menu bar shows the Toad feature and whether it has a button and/or keyboard keystroke associated with it to activate the feature. This section highlights all the shortcuts available for most versions of Toad. Figure 6.23 shows the menu bar keyboard and button options.
