Configuring the Schema Browser
The Schema Browser is a way to see the objects you have available. This configurable window has information useful to database administrators as well as developers. Sometimes developers have to do some of their own admin work within a test or development environment. Toad and this Schema Browser window are useful tools for both kinds of users.
Figure 4.1 shows the Schema Browser. You can open more than one Schema Browser. Choosing Database → Schema Browser also opens the Schema Browser. A reason for opening more than one Schema Browser could be if the user were connected to more than one Oracle instance. The Schema Browser button (upper left-most, second button) can open additional Schema Browser windows.
