There’s a lot of news to be had online, which means there’s a lot of article writing going on. Although a lot of online articles are identical to their print brethren (many sites simply repurpose stories originally published in print), there are also a lot of articles written specifically for the Web.
Because print and online media are so different in terms of how they’re consumed, I’m a big believer in writing articles specifically for online use. When you do so, the way you write changes—as does, in many instances, what you write.
