Not all online copy is obliquely promotional; some of it is explicitly so. That’s right, we’re talking about online advertising, which is as directly promotional as it gets.
There are lots of types of advertising online, but the bulk of what you see falls into the category of text-only ads. This means, of course, that copywriting skills are of much value if your company or organization is doing any online advertising at all.
