The Mobile Threat Landscape
The mobile threat landscape is constantly evolving. Android currently has roughly 72% market share compared to Apple iOS with about 27.5%, although in enterprise environments, there are more than two times as many iOS devices than Android. While the majority of malware targets the Android OS, attackers have been steadily transitioning their time and energy toward compromising business email with mobile phishing and malicious web content. These attacks are favored, since they are low cost and high reward. A growing number of attacks target mobile devices to establish a beachhead for access to sensitive data stored in enterprise cloud applications.
