(12) Does the article meet the journal conventions in titling, head-
ings, referencing and word count?
Each of these leading questions has many subparts, so I direct you to
the Pat ompson (2012) blog.
In my mind, these are not all equally important, but all are quite
important. Questions (1) and (2) are very important. e paper should
match the journal. e referee should be intricately familiar with the
journal’s mission statement. If the paper is directed toward theoretical
researchers, if published in an empirical or practitioner- oriented jour-
