Grouping Items

Grouping items in Illustrator can be quite useful, although you may not need to group items all the time. You may want to move or scale objects without grouping them. If you select several objects at once, you can scale, transform, or rate the objects without grouping them together.

Grouping several objects is handy when you have a logo or artwork with many pieces. By grouping the objects together, you can simply select any part of the object and all the objects will move together.
