I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Lesson E: Toaster with Toast
- 1 Create a rectangle ten units wide and seven units high with a 20 pt stroke.
- 2 With the Direct Selection tool, select the upper two corners and set the corner widgets to 20 mm in the Properties panel.
- 3 Draw a line on each side of the toaster with the Line tool (\), one unit long for the handles.
- 4 With the Line tool (\), draw a line seven units long and round cap the ends in the Stroke panel. Select the line and choose Effects > Distort & Transform > Zig Zag. Apply a size of 2 pts with four ridges per segment. Click the Smooth Point button and click OK.
