Employees from throughout the organization get together for activities that are not tied to their work roles.
Right now, the U.S. is going through a poker craze. Groups of seven or eight people will get together at one player’s home, once a month or so, to play poker. The beer is cold, the felt table is brought out, the chips are stacked, and the cards are shuffled. Pot Limit Texas Hold ’Em is most often the game of choice. Usually, the players are coworkers, and often a regular will invite a guest player to join the table.
