When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Getting ready
Create an S3 Glacier vault as follows:
- Go to Glacier service in the console.
- Click on Create Vault.
- Select a region and provide a name. I have selected US East (N. Virginia). I have also given the name as mybackupvault. Click Next Step.
- Select Enable notifications and use an existing SNS topic and click Next Step.
- Provide the Amazon Resource Name (ARN) of the SNS topic we have already created. We created an SNS topic in the Creating an SNS topic to send email recipe in Chapter 8, Monitoring with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Config.
- Select the job types to trigger a notification, choosing Archive Retrieval Job Complete and Vault Inventory Retrieval Job Complete. Click Next Step.
- Review and click Submit.
