How to do it...

We can enable GuardDuty for our account as follows:

1. Go to the GuardDuty service in the console.
2. If we are logging in for the first time, we should see a Get started page. Click on Get started. We should now see the Welcome to GuardDuty screen, as shown in the following screenshot:

3. Click on Enable GuardDuty.

We can see GuardDuty in action using the sample events provided by AWS, as follows:

1. Click on Settings from the left sidebar in the GuardDuty dashboard.
2. Click on Generate sample findings under Sample findings.
3. Click on Findings from the left sidebar to go to the Findings page. New sample findings will now be generated: ...
