So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works...
In this recipe, we created a dashboard in CloudWatch. We created a widget for the dashboard by selecting metrics from multiple services. When we created an alarm, we could only select one metric. We can also create more widgets and add them to the dashboard.
AWS currently supports the following types of visualizations for the widgets in a dashboard: line, stacked area, number, text, and query results. We selected line visualization in this recipe. We set the time period to 1 week. We can also add a custom time period.
