I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Migrate or greenfield development?
Throughout this chapter, cloud drivers and considerations were discussed, and we dived deeper into how an enterprise would migrate existing workloads into the cloud. While some of these patterns contain development activities to refactor or replatform the application, they are still migration patterns. So, the question is: when does an organization use greenfield development instead of migrations? Typically, when a company decides to be cloud first, they will focus a significant amount of effort migrating their existing workloads to the cloud.
