Summary
In this chapter, we defined exactly what a cloud native is and what areas of focus are required to develop a mature cloud native architecture. Using a CNMM, we identified that all architectures will have three design principles: cloud services adoption, degree of automation, and application-centric design. These principles are used to gauge the maturity of the components of the architecture, as it relates to them and where they fall on their own spectrum.
