8.5Measurement Results
The ∆Σmodulators described in this chapter have been incorporated into a multi-
standard RF transceiver chip, which is fabricated in a 0.35-mm, DP5M 2.5-V CMOS
process. The chip microphotograph of the ∆Σmodulators and decimation filter is
shown in Figure 8.23. The total active silicon area is about 16 mm

, and the modula-
tor takes up 0.50 mm

. During the measurement, the acquired output data stream is
stored in a file and then loaded into the computer for additional postfiltering and
