So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

1946 (Japon) : Taiichi Ohno et Shigeo Shingeo sont les pères du système de production, le Toyota Productive System (TPS). C’est dans les usines Toyota que le TPS a vu le jour. Quelques éléments du TPS : le Juste-à-Temps, la réduction du gaspillage, le système à flux tiré.
1986 (Japon) : Masaaki Imai, consultant de renom au pays du Soleil-Levant, fait connaître à l’Occident le concept Kaizen ou plus précisément la philosophie Kaizen dans le cadre du TPS. Il fonde le Kaizen Institute. Il intervient auprès de grands groupes comme Renault, HP…
1993 (Royaume-Uni) : le mot Kaizen entre dans le New Shorter Oxford English Dictionary.
