I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Laser cutter features
Once you have gotten a good idea about the different programs and how to use them, you can design the case for your prototype. Now, let's discuss the different features of a laser cutter, one by one:
- Cutting: This refers to the action of cutting an outline and a shape from a piece of material.
- Raster engraving: In raster engraving, the laser sweeps back and forth across the working area, and individually engraves each pixel onto the base material of the workpiece.
- Vector engraving: In this type of engraving, the laser engraves the workpiece continuously and more smoothly. This engraving is smoother and much quicker than raster engraving and is generally used when working with flat surfaces.
