I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Some additional requirements
You will need the following household items for this project:
- A plastic bottle: This will be the container for the pet food (or cereal if you don't have a pet). Any (big) bottle is fine here. I would recommend a 1.5 l one, but 1 l or 2 l will work equally well. The best are ones with a big opening.
- Pet food, cereal, or other food to dispense: In this chapter, peanuts will be used.
- Tape: You could use gaffer tape or duct tape. This will be used to glue together the servo motor and the bottle.
- Paper or cardboard: For the opening cap as well as to make the prototype look nicer, we will use thick paper or thin cardboard.
- Hot glue or super glue: This will be used to fix the servo motor arm to the opening cap.
