I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Mosquitto
Mosquitto (https://mosquitto.org) is an open source MQTT 3.1.1 server, which is part of the Eclipse Foundation; you might know this from other open source tools, such as the Eclipse IDE, one of the most used Java IDEs.
Mosquitto offers various command-line tools that make it really easy to try out all of the features MQTT has to offer on your local machine. In the Installing Mosquitto section, which you can find in Chapter 4, Setting Up a Lab Environment, we will set up a local Mosquitto server, in order to get our hands dirty with MQTT.
