I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
In this chapter, you were introduced to different techniques and technologies to create cases for your prototypes. We had a look at laser cutting as well as 3D printing. Using the web-based tool Tinkercad, we re-built the case for our smart productivity cube from scratch and prepared it for 3D printing.
Lastly, you were introduced to the most common software used for PCB design, where to order PCBs, and you were given an overview on what other machines might be needed to produce bigger batches of hardware using pick and place machines. Even if producing prototypes in series seems far ahead, you now have a better idea of what the next steps could involve if you want to professionalize your prototypes.
