I hope your order of the components and Arduino development board has arrived by now. But don't connect your new Arduino MKR WiFi 1010 just yet. We first need to set up the board in the Arduino IDE. Follow these instructions:
- Launch the Arduino app, and navigate to the Tools menu, then click on Boards, and then Boards Manager.
- Search for the name of the board that you want to install; in our case, Arduino MKR WiFi 1010. The first result that will show up is Arduino SAMD Boards—this unifies the Arduino drivers of various boards, which are based on the SAMD microprocessor.
