It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Buying a 3D printer – things to consider
Nowadays, there are more and more consumer-friendly 3D printers in the market and, fortunately, their price is within an affordable range. Printers targeted at consumers and hobbyists can be purchased for 250 EUR and more. The cheaper options may not offer the quality you are looking for, but you can still get a high-quality printer for about 1,000 EUR (which is still pricey but way more affordable than, for example, a laser cutter).
