So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Service extraction
At the end of the first phase, we get a number of microservices with their own data-storage facilities. These microservices are modular in nature and interoperable, and they are intrinsically capable of interacting with one another through the APIs. The widely-recommended design approach is to design and develop microservices for different domains. The widely-used aspect is domain-driven design (DDD). For example, take an e-commerce application.
