The surging popularity of microservices is due to multiple reasons. First of all, microservices strictly follow the single responsibility principle. That is, microservices do things one at a time but do it well. The MSA pattern mandates that different responsibilities need to be placed in different services. These fine-grained and self-contained microservices offer a number of unique benefits. The cost of developing, changing, and advancing is cheap, and the time to market is minimal.
